Transforming 2 gardens in 1 home with artificial grass lawns

This was a recent project in County Kildare that we really enjoyed getting stuck into.

This family with young children were sick to death of their non-existent lawns. They just couldn't get the grass, in either the front or back garden, to grow no matter what they tried.

They were left with 2 supposed lawns covered in brown moss, and was rock hard most of the year. After heavy rain, it became a muddy mess, which was then being dragged back into the house.

One quick phone call to Sanctuary Synthetics and we were on the case!

It took one of our experienced (and dedicated) installation teams 3 days to complete the job.

First, the layer of moss needed to be removed and then the saturated soil underneath needed to be excavated, before levelling off the remainder in preparation for the quarry dust layer being placed and flattened. This ensures proper drainage underneath the artificial lawn (which can take 60 litres per square metre, per minute!).

The homeowners opted for our SUPER premium grass. This selection is an excellent mid to top range grass that is both realistic looking and hard-wearing. It's designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use, making it an ideal choice for households with children and pets.

Our SUPER artificial grass is a non-infill synthetic grass, boasting a 50 mm pile height and a 10-year guarantee. It holds its shape remarkably well and stands up to wear and tear, ensuring that the garden maintains its pristine look for years to come.

As you can see from the pics below, this was some transformation!

In total, over 200 square metres of grass was laid across the 2 gardens. What was a dull, brown, rock-hard surface, is now a vibrant, green and usable (all-year-round) garden that their young kids can freely play without fear of cut knees, or mud being dragged back into their home.

The family are delighted with their new lawns, we wish them many fun-filled days in the garden.
