We here at Sanctuary Synthetics love a bit of golf ourselves, we even have a putting green here in our new Grassland HQ. We often hold putting green competitions with all the staff and let me tell you it always goes down a treat.
You can give the gift of transforming your garden in to a wonderful putting green. This idea has a whole lot of benefits, one of them being its 10-year manufactures guarantee and the fact that your putting green is right out side your door. We supply and install a championship level putting green, it is about 14mm in pile height. We also supply and install the flags and cups so all you need to have is a set of golf clubs and Bobs your uncle….
We install our putting greens the exact same way we would install a regular domestic garden. If there is an existing lawn a full installation is required. Typically, 90% of all gardens we do putting green or not, will require this amount of ground works. We will evacuate and remove approx. 5” of sod and soil. We will supply and install 3” of hardcore (crushed stone 804) and 1-2” of sand/quarry dust. A tantalised timberwork perimeter is installed, and the grass/ putting green is then rolled out and nailed securely to the timber frame. Joins are done on the underside of the grass with a fiberglass tape/ glue.
We also install fringing around the perimeter of the putting green, using one of our longer pile height grasses. The size of the putting green depends on how big the customer wants, we can do a small putting green in a small section of your garden or we can do a large putting green that covers the majority of the garden the choice is very much left up to the customer our putting greens to do however come in 4 and 2-meter-wide rolls so we do ask our customers to keep this in mind when measuring.
Our synthetic grass is quick drying even after the heaviest of rain showers, so the kids can be out playing in the garden in no time. Our synthetic grass is also very soft to touch and will not give friction burns
