We were delighted to supply Glasnevin Cemetry with our artificial grass for them to use as part of their Padraig Pearse’s Oration Re-enactment.
For those of you unfamilar with Glasnevin Cemetry, it is the largest non-denominational cemetery in Ireland with an estimated 1.5 million burials. The cemetery contains historical monuments and the graves of many of Ireland’s most prominent national figures. These include the graves of Daniel O’Connell, Charles Stewart Parnell and Constance Markiewicz to name a few.
Glasnevin is renowned for its historical event schedule and from the 15th March to 15th of September 2014, daily at 2.30pm they will holding the re-enactment of the infamous speech delivered by Padraig Pearse at the grave of Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa (at Glasnevin) on 1st August 1915.
We absolutely recommend dropping by to take part in the tour at the cemetery, for more details call the Museum (0)1 882 6550 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
