When we arrived at Holywell Educate Together, it was immediately clear that the outdoor area dedicated to the ASD class wasn’t performing the way the school needed.

The previous surface was patchy in places, slow to dry after rain, and uneven underfoot. Teachers explained that although they wanted to use the space more often, it was hard to rely on - one wet day was enough to rule it out entirely.

The school was looking for a surface that could support consistent, daily outdoor time: safe, predictable, and suitable for both sensory regulation and active play. Artificial grass offered exactly that. It stays firm, drains efficiently, and maintains its shape even with heavy use. It gives schools a clean, usable area without the ongoing maintenance headaches.

Before installation, we reworked the base to eliminate low spots and improve overall stability. Once the groundwork was complete, we laid a school-grade artificial grass with a soft, child-friendly feel and long-term durability. The finished yard now supports movement, rest and exploration, all within one compact space.
